FWG-Foundation
Would you like to know what and how we do good? Then let's start by telling you about the FWG Foundation.
In 2020, the Wiesner Gastronomie AG (FWG) family founded the FWG Foundation. Together with our partner restaurants, we raise money for a specific project. You donate CHF 0.50 to the FWG Foundation with every charity dish and we double this amount so that our charity partner receives CHF 1, this way we can do something good together. A new project is supported every 6 months. Furthermore, the FWG Foundation uses its purpose to promote and support FWG employees.
Current Donation Project
Stiftung Schweizer Tafel
The Stiftung Schweizer Tafel actively campaigns against food waste and poverty in Switzerland, among other things. Every year, it rescues more than 25 tons of perfectly good, surplus food and 6,500 tons of (non)food items worth over CHF 45 million.
We support the commitment of the Swiss Food Bank Foundation in order to join forces to set an example against food waste and poverty in Switzerland.

Stiftung Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe
The Stiftung Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe has been bringing joy and variety to the lives of children and young people living with an illness or disability since 1993. It fulfills the children's greatest heartfelt wishes and enables the whole family to enjoy carefree leisure activities.
We support the commitment of the Stiftung Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe, so that together we can put a smile on the face of children in a challenging situation.
du-bist-du
With about 80 volunteers and competent professionals, "du-bist-du" is an important contact point for the LGBTIQ+ community in German-speaking Switzerland. Its goal is to advise, inform and raise awareness.
du-bist-du promotes the health of LGBTIQ+ people with the help of professional consultations and the implementation of events and campaigns. This also reduces prejudice and discrimination against queer people and promotes exchange.
To support the program, we will donate 50 centimes with every Nooch Special sold to du-bist-du from April 2023.
CUISINE SANS FRONTIÈRES
Cuisine sans frontières (Csf) invites people to the table to resolve conflicts and promote community. To this end, the association builds gastronomic meeting places and training centers in crisis areas or social conflict situations.
Csf has so far implemented more than 20 projects in eleven countries on three continents. Currently, the organization is helping refugees from Ukraine in Romania, has set up a cafeteria for women in a refugee camp in Lebanon, and is providing young indigenous people from Ecuador with gastronomic-tourism training.
To support the foundation, we will donate 50 centimes with every Nooch Special sold to Cuisine sans frontières from June 2022.
Little Big Hero Foundation
The Little Big Hero Foundation supports various projects to make hospital stays easier for children and their families. 100% of the donations go to the projects. For example, the Spitalcowns put a smile on children's faces. True to their motto: "Children should laugh, even in extraordinary situations!" In addition, donations flow into Christmas presents for the children in the hospital or into educational support. This preschool project serves as a preparation for the school years or in order not to miss the connection in school.
To support the foundation, we have donated 50 centimes with every Nooch Special sold to the Little Big Hero Foundation from November 2021 until June 2022.
IdéeSport Foundation
The IdéeSport Foundation has been involved in promoting children and young people in Switzerland since 1999, using sport as a means of preventing addiction and promoting social integration.
With its programs, the IdéeSport Foundation opens up vacant spaces for sports and encounters, creating conditions for regular meeting places across cultural and social boundaries. Participation in the events is free of charge and without obligation. Specially trained youth coaches and young adults look after the participants, organize the activities and ensure that everything runs smoothly. The various programs are aimed at children and young people of all ages, as well as children with disabilities.
To support the foundation, we collected donations for IdéeSport from March to November 2021.
Children's Hospital Zurich - Eleonora Foundation
Sometimes seriously ill children have to stay in hospital for weeks or even months. At the Children's Hospital Zurich, specialists take comprehensive care of the young patients. In addition to top-quality medical care, this also includes educational care, because sick children should also be able to develop and learn.
The Children's Hospital therefore provides its two- to three-year-old patients with a kindergarten teacher. This teacher promotes the little ones individually and supports them in their emotional, mental, motor and linguistic development. Thanks to the pedagogical care, the children acquire important skills that they will later need for entry into kindergarten. The preschool for chronically ill children is not funded by government agencies, but exclusively through donations.
FOXG1 Switzerland
The last time we were allowed to support the foundation FOXG1 Switzerland. From July to October 2020, we (the FWG together with its restaurants) collected 50 centimes for the foundation with every special sold. This resulted in an amount of CHF 7,196. The FWG Foundation rounded this up and thus donated a proud CHF 10,000.00 to FOXG1 Switzerland.
Friends International
From fall 2019 to summer 2020, we collected 50 centimes for "Friends International" with every special sold. Among other things, the program helps children to attend school, young people to find gainful employment and families to support their own children. In total, we were able to donate an amount of CHF 9,814.
